I'm having trouble with rendering the eyes of my various 3D Universe products.

It's not so bad with BigLioness,

with Bacon it's much more pronounced:

I had this problem with V4 some time ago and was able to make an adjustment to the transparency of the cornea in the materials area, but I'm having trouble finding similar controls for 3DU products.

Eyelights seems to be the similar control to V4's cornea. The default settings are here:

I've experimented with various combinations of map strength and transparency, but still get the strong reflection over the eyes.

What can I do to get a plain old no-gloss eye rendering?

Thanks,
Buck

Option 1: on the Eyelights texture, click on the "Advanced" tab, and set "Transparency_Edge" to "1". That will make same the reflection over the whole lens, instead of lowering it at the edges of the lens.
Option 2: on the Eyelights texture, click on the "Advanced" tab, and set "Reflection_Value" to "0.1". That reduced the reflection by half and looks better. Setting this to "0" will remove the gloss completely.

Note: also, remember to set the render quality closer to "Final" in the Render settings.

That worked.
Thank you.
