I was at my father's credit union yesterday, to close his account (he passed away).  I was given a brochure to browse.  Would you believe that Ug was used as an illustration??    I tried looking on the website, but couldn't find Ug's image on the website.

For a while I've been wanting to run a modelling "course" type tutorial, where over a few days I guide a group of people through the whole process, but I'm not sure that it would be practical because of all the different modelling programs out there. I wouldn't want to get stuck up on "how do you do step 4 in X modeller?"-type questions.

If anyone can suggest a way round this, I'd be happy to pursue it further...

Wow, this was a looooong time ago.  If the above still applies I have a suggestion.  But, it requires everyone use and  learn the same program, Blender (blender.org).  It is free, open-source and powerful.  It is a modeling/animation/rendering/game engine.
