In Part 4 of this article series, I will be modeling clothing for a cartoon rabbit in LightWave. The video is basically a slideshow of the entire process.

Skill level: moderate
Time Taken: about 30 minutes

Here's a video slideshow of the process. For a detailed look at the process, see below...

And here's the steps we took to get to our final model...

I'm now going to make this little guy some clothing. I start by copying the area of the body that I will be covering with clothes...

Some coloring and extruding...

I separate the waistcoat section from the rest and start adding details to the shape...

The shirt section will have a high collar. I size the neck loop to get the general shape...

Some extruding to create the 3d shape of the collar...

The waistcoat is adjusted to fit the shirt area correctly...

The sleeves are created by copying the rabbit's arms and shifting each face along it's normal to offset it...

Some detailing on the sleeves is added...

Working on the bottom of the shirt/waistcoat to create the rounded shape...

Started on his tie using a simple cylinder for the neck part...

A basic knot shape is created from a cube...

Some last little details to finish it off...
